How

The Grafton County Sheriff is entrusted by every tax paying resident in Grafton County to manage a budget in the most fiscally responsible way.  As Sheriff, that is exactly what I will do.

As Sheriff, I will bring an adaptive and flexible approach to managing staff and resources.  If and when needed, I will restructure the department to meet the everchanging and sometimes unpredictable needs as they arise.

Listening to and responding to the concerns of the residents is paramount to the success of any organization whose mission is to serve its community.  I have always been committed to the truth.  The residents of Grafton County can trust that I will communicate with them openly and honestly.  I will hear their concerns.  I will never pretend to have all the answers.  When I don’t have the answer to a question asked of me, I will pursue the best answer to that question where I can.

In the role of Sheriff, I will be informative and transparent in my communications with County Delegates, members of the Executive Committee, the County Commissioners, State Representatives, and Legislatures.  I will convey to them the concerns as brought to me by the citizens of Grafton County.  I will update them on any new or changing standards or laws that impact the operation of the Sheriff’s Department, and of any potential costs associated with those changes.  I will listen to their concerns and work diligently to reduce un-necessary costs and negative impacts that come from change whether expected, or unexpected.

Fire, EMS, and Police departments throughout the County and beyond pay for dispatching services provided by the Sheriff’s Department.  As Sheriff I will stay in regular communication with the Chiefs and heads of those agencies.  I will hear what their expectations are and endeavor to meet those expectations and provide them with the best dispatching services obtainable.

Using the full force of the powers and authority granted by the U.S. Constitution, the NH Constitution, and the laws within the State, the Sheriff’s Department under my watch will aggressively pursue violent criminal offenders, human traffickers, and those who commit sexual assaults on children.  Every effort will be made to bring these criminals to justice.

The Sheriff’s Department will continue to fulfill its statutory obligations to serve civil process and to transport prisoners.  As Sheriff, I will maximize the department’s efforts to provide and share law enforcement resources, within its means, to towns big and small in Grafton County.  Under my leadership this will be done in the most cost-effective way while staying within the funds provided.  If you want the Sheriff’s Department to further increase its commitment to effectively protecting and serving our communities, then vote for me.
