The Grafton County Sheriff’s Office has statewide jurisdiction, but it’s primary focus of service is to the residents of Grafton County.  The Sheriff’s Department covers a wide-ranging area.

Grafton County is made up of 38 towns, 1 city, Lebanon, and 1 unincorporated place, Livermore.  Its land mass is 1,713 square miles with 36.6 square miles of inland water area.  The population is roughly 89,000. 

Grafton County reaches into the lake’s region of the State, as well as the White Mountains.  It borders the State of Vermont along the Connecticut River. 

Grafton County is the home of Dartmouth College and Plymouth State University. 

Grafton County has several hospitals and medical centers to include Cottage Hospital, Littleton Regional, Spear Memorial, Alice Peck Day Memorial, and Dartmouth Hitchcock. 

Located in the towns of Grafton are small businesses, lumber mills, and farms.

Grafton County is known for its access to great outdoor activities, such as skiing, snow shoeing, boating, hunting, fishing, and hiking.  

Interstates 89 and 93 run through Grafton County.
